On Tuesday, February 15, 2022, an alert briefing and Fire Extinguishing Simulation were held in two subsidiaries of PT Cisadane Sawit Raya Tbk, namely PT Sukses Sawit Gasing (PT SSG) and PT Abiputra Bina Inter (PT ABI).
The alert briefing was held for preventive efforts and prepares the team for quick response actions in dealing with smog and land fires.
Confronting land fires, especially in palm oil plantation areas, is one of the company's priorities. We are committed to zero fire cases in all of the company's operational plantations.
PT SSG and PT ABI prepared a fire fighting team consisting of 15 people. Each team member is provided with knowledge and standard tools such as one set of protective clothing, helmet, and boots, as well as fire extinguishers such as hoses and high-pressure pumps.
In addition to preparing and simulating land fire response for the fire fighting team, we also provide education to every worker to apply fire prevention measures such as not lighting cigarettes in the plantation area, conducting periodic checks throughout the area, and responding quickly when finding point of fire.
Land fires can be prevented with the contribution of all parties in the plantation. The importance of sensitivity and awareness of each individual to the dangers is very much needed to actualize zero land fires.
